Takis Vassileiou | Art director

Percussionist & drums musician He was born in 1972 in Cyprus. He got into music from an early age and especially in percussion. In 1997, he came to Athens where he continued his studies specializing in Afro-Cuban, Brazil and Multi Percussion in Berklee College of Music. He attended many percussion seminars with important musicians such as Glen Velez, Zohar Fresco, Horacio "El Negro" Hernandez. He has worked with many Greek composers and singers such as Charoula Alexiou, Giannis Parios, Stavros Xarchakos, Stamatis Spanoudakis, Mimis Plessas and many others, and has played in many concerts in Greece and around the world, as well as in many Ethnic Jazz festivals. His presence is active in discography as a musician but also as a producer. He is a key member of the Chouska and iModify bands. His extensive experience in teaching percussion but also in music therapy positively affect their expanse and development.

CHRYSA MATSAGANI Art & Culture Communication Manager/Producer

She was born and studied in Athens (Graduate of EKPA). She has been working professionally in the field of art and culture communication and public relations since 2010. She is a founding member and co-owner of the nonprofit cultural company, Act for Art, which is set on production, design and execute various cultural projects and the ImProva, art place, located in Votanikos, which hosts rehearsals for plays, movies and dance performances, shootings, seminars, courses and workshops. She started her career as a director at the Central Bookstore of Papasotiriou and Pataki (in the latter as a purchasing manager) and then got in the field of Communication / Public Relations. In 2010, she started working as a Public Relation Manager for the Brainfood Group (Oxy Publications, Opus Magnum, Experience Publishing, Avopolis Magazine etc.). For the last ten years she has been working as a PR manager with several renowned directors and theater groups for more than 150 theatrical performances. She has also worked for important Festivals such as the "Gender Equality Festival" produced by the General Secretariat for Equality, the International Short Film Festival "Micro μ Festival", "Love your Local Market" produced by the Central Market’s and Fisherie’s Organization and many more, but also for concerts, and bands. Being a founding member of the artistic group Astrolab, she has produced two large and lots of smaller "Jazz & World Festivals" in Athens. From 2013 to 2018 she has also worked at the Radio Station, 105.5 In Kokkino, at first, in public relations and then, in the artistic design, direction and production of all the cultural activities and events of the station.

MARIANNA KONTOULI Producer & Executive Producer

She was born in 1979 in Athens, but grew up in Brussels. She is a graduate of the Department of Theatrical Studies of the Kapodistrian University of Athens. Furthermore, she has specialized in the Management of Cultural Units at the Aegean University. In 2004, she founded a nonprofit cultural entertainment company, ART-IOI. Since 2006, she has been working as a theatrical director, staging the following plays, Zyklon by Th. Triaridis (Faust Theater), Guess by St. Bey (Alma Theater), J. Pielmeier's Pure God (Alkmini Theater), B. Malfa's No Shakespeare Please (Casablanca Music Scene), D.Christopher Laughing Wild (Honey). On television, she has worked, as an assistant director to Panos Kokkinopoulos in the TV series, Black Midnight. Since 2010, she is also active in the field of production, undertaking the production of documentaries "Theatrical Education as a means of integration of foreign students in the Greek School" (GNG) and "A Different Place" on Mental Retardation. She has also worked with several TV commercial and video clip companies. She has been the management director for the schedule and content of events and guests at the Oxygen Festival, as well as the production manager of the 1st International Film and Gastronomy Festival - Athens 2020. In 2020, she founded with Chryssa Matsagani the nonprofit cultural company Act For Art, which is set on production, design and execute various cultural projects.

Act for Art

The Production & Communication Company Act For Art was founded in July 2020 by the theatrical / director and producer Marianna Kontouli and the communication specialist Chryssa Matsagani and has as object the production, organization and implementation of cultural activities (festivals, theatrical performances, concerts, visual film & television productions & programs) the organization and promotion of scientific events (conferences, workshops, etc.) as well as educational cultural programs (workshops, courses, seminars). Act for Art owns the ImProva art space, an industrial space in the Botanical Garden, in which performances are created and prepared before being presented to the public, trends are formed and developed, new ideas are implemented and circulated, and seminars, workshops and educational events are organized. long term. Act for Art, considering culture as the highest and most influential element and good for the prosperity of the local and wider society, plans its planning for the coming years, giving special importance to the innovative and pioneering ideas that contribute to its development. For 2021 so far two theatrical performances, three international music festivals have been planned (the Rethymnon International Percussion Festival, the Rethymnon International Jazz Festival and the Kalamata International Poetry Festival) the Festival of Drama Schools and numerous , improvisation, as well as in the production and communication of cultural activities.
